CASTRO CELTIBÉRICO DE CHECA / KELTIBERIAN CHESTER OF CHECA

(Eng) KELTIBERIAN CHESTER OF CHECA.
The keltiberian fortified village of Castilgriegos, in Checa (Spain), was built and populated during 3rd to 2nd century before Christ. Being one of the smallest fortified perimeters of the keltiberian ages, its construction is amazing however:
Placed in top of a hill controlling a beautiful landscape, and one of the metal production routes in the ancient world, its inhabitants dug a wide moat in the rock, using the extracted stones to model giant cubic blocks of stone, and raise the wall that still today can partially be seen.
Today, the video that we made for the scientific presentation of this chester, reached 2.000 visits. Thank you everybody, and if you have the chance, visit the Park of Alto Tajo, and particularly the surrounds of Checa. More info to come in www.checa.es.
